Are you thinking about concentrating in Social Studies?
You might want to first read through our information on requirements, check out our courses, and learn more about our senior thesis process. Our FAQ section addresses some common questions, such as "Do I need to know what I want to study before I declare a concentration in Social Studies?" (Answer: You don't.)
Still have questions about the concentration?
Kate Anable, our Undergraduate Program Administrator, and Bonnie Talbert, our Assistant Director of Studies, both hold weekly office hours for prospective concentrators. You may sign up for office hours with Kate Anable by signing up here or by emailing Bonnie Talbert.
Do you want to know what Social Studies is really like?
Our Peer Concentration Advisors are a great resource for prospective and new concentrators in the program. They are available to talk to freshmen during opening days and to sophomores starting Social Studies in the fall, and they participate in Advising Fortnight (and our annual Ice Cream Social!) for freshmen in the spring. You can learn more about each of our 14 PCAs here; feel free to email any of them with questions or to set up a meeting.
