#  Concentration Advising

All Social Studies students are assigned an individual academic advisor in Social Studies. Students start with the person who is their Social Studies 10 tutor and remain with that advisor unless they leave Social Studies or the student asks to be reassigned. The Director of Studies reassigns all students who need new advisors each summer, making every attempt to assign students to advisors with whom they have already worked or who share their intellectual interests.

We strongly encourage students to stay in close touch with their academic advisors. Our advisors are trained to do “holistic” advising, getting to know students as individuals and working to help students connect the work they are doing inside the classroom with their personal and extracurricular interests.
