Farah Stockman, Social Studies ’96, will be speaking about her experiences in public service and journalism. As an undergraduate, Farah worked at the Mission Hill Summer Urban Program. After graduation, she worked with street children in Kenya before joining the Boston Globe as a reporter covering topics ranging from the war in Afghanistan to the legacy of busing in Boston. She won a Pulitzer Prize for commentary in 2016. Farah now works for the New York Times; she recently completed a series of articles chronicling the experience of manufacturing workers in an Indianapolis plant that is being shut down.
If you are interested in journalism, public service, or both, you will want to hear Farah’s story and engage in conversation with her.
