Lisa Gilson is a College Fellow on Social Studies specializing in political theory and the history of political thought. Her research focuses on the practice of social criticism, romantic political thought, and social movements in the 19th and 20th centuries. She is currently working on a book project titled Another Romanticism: Redefining Social Criticism from Rousseau to Tolstoy. She received her Ph.D. from Yale University (2019) in Political Science, and in 2018-2019, she was a Fox International Fellow at Cambridge University. In spring 2020, she will teach a junior tutorial on American Social Movements.
